A valued Safety Vision customer, you selected our mobile video surveillance camera systems for reasons important to your organization—for example, to deter fraudulent claims, or to protect personnel, property, and the public. Since we joined forces, our focus has been helping you achieve those RoadRecorder 5000: Discontinued April 30, 2006business goals while retaining you as a satisfied customer.

One way we achieve this is by improving our product lines as technologies evolve. Effective April 30, 2006, we will be discontinuing production of the RoadRecorder® 5000 mobile digital video recorder. As of the date of this letter, we have a limited supply available for order. We request that you review this information and notify your purchasing offices to place your company’s final orders for available discontinued products as soon as possible. We will fill orders on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Our support strategy is outlined below.

  • Current warranty and maintenance agreement plans will be honored through the end of the contract. Repairs will be expedited by our highly experienced RoadRecorder 5000 service team.
  • All RoadRecorder 5000 products are protected with a 1-year warranty. For a limited time, we are offering several tiers of maintenance agreement plans, enabling continued protection of your investment for up to 5 more years. Maintenance agreement plans added at the point of sale or during the first year after purchase are the best value; plans added after the expiration of the initial 1-year warranty period may be subject to higher pricing.
